Quantitative Reasoning Assessment – Math Scores
MATH PLACEMENT:
All current and new students who need to take math and chemistry will be required to take the Quantitative Reasoning Assessment (QRA) which consists of two parts – basic algebra (BA) and Calculus Readiness (CR). QRA can be taken (two times) for WVU students with no cost.
Credit hours/Course:
3/Math 126 A (5-day); QRA Score = 10 BA
3/Math 126 B (4-day); QRA Score = 11 or 12 BA
3/Math 126 C (College Algebra); QRA Score = 13 or 14 BA
3/Math 128 (Trig); QRA Score = 13 or 14 BA
3/Math 150 (Introduction to Calculus); QRA Score = 15 BA and 24 combined (BA + CR)
4/Math 153 (not a pre-req for MATH 155); QRA Score = 15 BA and 24 combined (BA + CR)
4/Math 154 (not a pre-req for MATH 155); QRA Score = Completion of Math 153 with grade ≥ “C”
4/Math 155 (Calculus); QRA Score = 17 BA and 33 combined (BA + CR)
